Child safety

Ado is built for children first. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

Accounts and age

  • Children under 18 never create an account. A parent signs in to the app, consents, and adds the child’s profile.
  • Players compete only within their own age band. No league, board, friend link or vote mixes players under 18 with players 18 or over.
  • A parent can unlink a device or delete their child’s data at any time.

What other players see

  • There is no chat and no direct messaging between players.
  • Other players see a made-up handle, and a first name only if the family chooses to show it. Our team checks every name and removes any that breaks the rules.
  • Never an age, a school, a city or a photo, on any page or certificate.

Questions, answers and drawings

  • Every question in our quiz bank is reviewed by a person before any child sees it. Some are drafted with the help of AI and then checked by our reviewers. The 60-second sprint is the one exception: its questions are quick sums and word meanings that a program builds from a fixed word list, so they are not reviewed one by one.
  • Written answers and drawings are checked before any other player sees them. Drawings are checked for faces, text and unsafe content.
  • Players can report content and hide another player from their own view. Our team reviews reports within 24 hours.

The app

  • The kids’ app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking.
  • On a child’s profile, the shop opens only behind a check that a grown-up is present. Nothing in it changes a rank.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation

  • We do not tolerate child sexual abuse or exploitation, or any material that shows it.
  • Content like this is removed as soon as we find it, and we report it to the authorities as Indian law requires, keeping only what the law asks us to keep.
  • Our child safety contact is hi@getado.app.
